Project Red Flag helps shoppers see past the stars. We built an independent tool that analyzes Amazon product reviews for suspicious patterns and trustworthiness, so you can make buying decisions with a clearer picture of what real customers think.
Why we exist
A five star average is easy to trust and hard to question. But not every glowing review reflects a genuine experience. Inflated ratings, repetitive wording, vague praise, and unusual review activity can make a product look better than it is.
We started Project Red Flag because shoppers deserve a second opinion, one that looks beyond the headline rating and explains why a score might deserve more or less confidence.
What we do
Paste any Amazon product link and we analyze customer reviews, suspicious patterns, and trustworthiness. You get the listed rating alongside our Adjusted Score, a confidence level, and a written summary.
Red Flags highlight potential concerns. Green Flags highlight signs of credibility, such as verified purchases and detailed, product specific feedback. Together they inform an Adjusted Score that reflects the bigger picture, not just the number on the product page.
How we analyze reviews
We combine statistical analysis and AI to identify patterns commonly associated with suspicious reviews. We look at factors such as duplicate or repetitive wording, vague or generic feedback, unusual review activity, rating patterns, and reviewer history. We also consider the listing’s review volume alongside signals like brand credibility and recent purchase activity.
No single factor determines the score. Our goal is not to label individual reviews as fake, but to surface meaningful signals and help you weigh them yourself.

Project Red Flag is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon. Product titles, images, and ratings come from public listing data. We are a small, independent project focused on giving shoppers better information, not on selling hype.
